The Cambria is a metropolitan public house in the hidden corridors of Camberwell. Fare from traditional interiors, The Cambria boasts Crystal chandeliers, antiquated mirrors, leather upholstery and eclectic furnishings. However, behind the glitz and glam, is a local pub with friendly regulars, welcoming staff and a relaxed atmosphere.
“The Cambria is a wonderful local neighbourhood community pub which has been serving the people of SE5 for several decades and under several guises – making it one of the oldest pubs in London!
Today with its chic, trendy décor, comfortable sofas, hanging chandeliers, large garden area and stunning function rooms The Cambria welcomes all!
We love great food and are proud that our chefs are passionate about producing consistent, high quality dishes every time. The ingredients are locally sourced and the menu changes seasonally. As well as serving traditional dishes such as “Beer battered haddock with hand cut chips with mushy peas & tartare sauce” and of course delicious Sunday roasts, we also serve local dishes to the area such as “Traditional Jerk chicken served with rice and peas, coleslaw & salad”
The bar offers a full selection of beers, local ales, and spirits with some amazing value “Fine Wines” continuously on offer!
We at The Cambria believe “The pub is the hub”! We work with several local community groups and societies such as “The Cambria Choir”, “Life Drawing” “Friends of Ruskin Park” and “Southwark Friends” and have an amazing Jazz band (who play at Ronnie Scott every Monday!) performing every Sunday as well as other local bands.
Come and see for yourself where you will be warmly welcomed by all our staff! We are open for lunch and dinner everyday and are situated a close walk from Loughborough Junction station, Denmark Hill Station and Brixton underground.”
